Junior Planner

About the role

We’re looking for a recent graduate to join our fast-paced Strategy team. You’ll be working with some of our iconic clients and collaborating across the agency.

The role

We’re on the lookout for a Junior Planner who is innately curious about people, what moves them and inspires them. Your finger is on the pulse of trends that are shaping consumers’ worlds, and are excited by the possibilities of blending technology, data, strategy, and creativity to deliver cutting-edge work.

As a Junior Planner you will support the Planning Department in strategy and creative development. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and synthesising insights from a range of research sources, including desk research, data, focus groups, and workshops to support the planning team.
  • Helping the wider planning team devise strategic recommendations and communication plans to clients.
  • Assisting in crafting creative briefs and guiding the creative development of campaigns.
  • Support in developing detailed and insightful customer journey mapping to inform innovative customer engagement and loyalty programmes.
  • Work with other planners to help create engaging communication strategies across a range of channels.
  • Help facilitate client and internal workshops.
  • Championing our research tools, proactively providing trends to support projects happening across the wider DDB Group.
  • Support new business pitches and engagements as required.

What will you bring?

Ideally you should have some experience with translating data, qualitative and quantitative research into fresh insights, and are able to present complex information in a simple way. You’ll have a good grasp of today’s media landscape and ideally will be familiar with brand and communication ideas/solutions that transcend different media channels – from traditional TVCs and social media to customer loyalty programmes.
