Senior QA Engineer

We’re looking for a  Senior QA Engineer to join the team for a 12-month Fixed Term contract.

The role

The Senior QA Engineer (Maternity Cover) is responsible for defining and driving the quality assurance strategy across web-based projects, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and security.

This role involves hands-on test execution, leadership of offshore QA resources, and the development and maintenance of both manual and automated testing frameworks. The Senior QA Engineer (Maternity Cover) will collaborate closely with cross-functional team including developers, producers, and designers, to prioritise testing tasks, resolve QA blockers, and continuously improve test coverage and effectiveness.

What will you bring?

You will have in-depth understanding of digital technologies and their implementation, and QA processes. The ability to meet deadlines, set budgets and control project quality are a must, alongside proven experience with web application testing and continuous integration processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented QA professional with excellent communication and proven leadership experience.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• 2+ years’ experience leading team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Playwright or any relevant automation tools
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tool (GIT, JIRA)
• Experienced with git and source control in general; you need to know how to work with branches, create/merge pull requests, etc.
