Email Domain Change
This page exists to confirm the legitimacy of emails you may receive from the @omc.com domain that reference DDB Group personnel.
Why the change?
As part of a broader operational alignment, staff who previously used a @nz.ddb.com (or related) email address are transitioning to the consolidated domain @omc.com. This change helps streamline security, identity management and collaboration across the wider Omnicom network.
Is @omc.com legitimate?
Yes. Any email from firstname.lastname@omc.com (or a variation consistent with the sender’s name) that clearly represents a known DDB Group employee should be treated as authentic, provided it passes your normal phishing checks (no unexpected attachments, urgent payment requests, credential harvesting, etc.).
How to verify a sender
• Compare the display name to the person’s known identity at DDB Group. • Hover over (or tap) the email address to ensure it ends exactly in @omc.com. • Check spelling: attackers often use subtle character swaps. • When in doubt, reply using a fresh email to the known address or contact the person via Teams / phone.
Still seeing the old domain?
During the transition period, some legacy @nz.ddb.com addresses may continue to forward. That’s expected. Over time, only @omc.com will remain active.
Security reminders
• Do not trust links or attachments purely because the domain looks legitimate. • Report suspicious messages through your standard security reporting channel. • Never share passwords—no internal migration process requires them.
